The 38A MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) is the Civil Affairs Specialist in the U.S. Army. Civil Affairs Specialists are responsible for working with civilian populations in various operational environments to establish and maintain relationships between military forces and civilian authorities, organizations, and individuals. They assist with the coordination and implementation of civil-military operations, such as humanitarian assistance, governance support, and stability operations.
