How semantic search works
Keyword search fails on CBT questions because course versions reword the same question constantly — “Which of the following is a best practice for removable media?” in one version becomes “How should you protect data on removable media?” in the next. QuizFeast search converts your query into a vector embedding and compares it against every indexed question and answer by meaning, so reworded, paraphrased, or half-remembered questions still land on the right content. Each result shows a percentage match score so you can judge how close the hit is.
The index covers the corpus behind our answer keys and CBT library — including Cyber Awareness Challenge, OPSEC, AT Level 1, and dozens of other annual training courses.
Getting better results
- Paste the entire question, including the answer options if you have them — more context means a more precise embedding.
- Distinctive phrases beat generic ones: “spillage of classified information” matches far better than “security question”.
- If you are stuck on several questions from one course, the AI Study Assistant is usually faster — it identifies the exact set and loads the full question bank.
- Zero results? Broaden the query or browse the answer keys directly — every indexed course has its own page.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to type the question word-for-word?
No. Search is semantic: your query is compared to indexed content by meaning, so a paraphrase like "what to do with classified data found online" will match questions worded very differently. That said, pasting the full question text usually produces the strongest match.
Why did my search return no results?
The index is focused on military and DoD computer-based training content plus common certification material. Very short or generic queries can also miss. Try pasting the whole question, or use the AI Study Assistant, which identifies your exact CBT from 2–3 pasted questions.
Is search free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and there is no login on QuizFeast at all, so searches are never tied to an account.
Where do the indexed answers come from?
From the same corpus that powers the CBT answer library: aggregated question banks, community-submitted Q&As that pass AI review, and answers verified against official sources such as federal regulations and DoD publications. For the official courses themselves, go to your service training portal or the DoD Cyber Exchange.
Official DoD cyber training is hosted at the DoD Cyber Exchange — use QuizFeast to study, then complete the course there for credit.
